Bucerias is a community of citizens who are passionate about creating a good quality of life for its citizens and its visitors. One look at any of the town's event calendars and you will see a roster of fundraisers and benefits for everything from building a school to spaying the local animals. Here is a list of some of the more active organizations in Bucerias:
Amigos de Bucerias
Amigos de Bucerias is a civil association whose mission is "to be dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the quality of life in Bucerias, in cooperation with all residents, elected / appointed officials, business leaders and visitors." Visit their website, Amigos de Bucerias.
Recyclers of Bucerias
One of the goals of the Recyclers of Bucerias is education. We try to educate about recycling by setting good examples for the community to follow. You can be an example by investing less than hour of your time once or twice a week for your community.

PEACE - Protection Education Animals Community Environment
This organization facilitates sustainable programs in Bucerias and throughout Mexico by providing communities and individuals with tools to improve their quality of life through programs that include spay/neuter programs for animals, adult education, artisan and business training, self empowerment programs, and environmental education.
Cleft Palate Program
Cleft Palate Program of the International Friendship Club of Puerto Vallarta helps children who are born with cleft lip and palate, no ears macrostoma, scars, drooping eyelids and other problems that can be helped with plastic surgery. Contact Patricia Mendez in Bucerias at Tel. (329) 298-1767.
Las Mujeres Unidas por la Bahia de Banderas, A.C:
Advocates for the rights of Mexican citizens, supports environmental programs and other programs designed to preserve the integrity of the Mexican family. Centro de salud ( Health Center) in Bucerias
The Health Center in Bucerias is always in need of basic supplies. Contributions can be made anytime at Sandrina's restaurant/coffee bar and boutique located on Lazaro Cardenas Street #33. Contact email info@sandrinas.com.
Zeta Chapter Beta Sigma Phi International Service Sorority
Beta Sigma Phi is an international women's friendship network that provides educational programs and engages in service to the community. Beta Sigma Phi was instrumental in establishing a Special Needs School for children aged 5 through 20, and runs Operation Warmth which provides winter clothing to needy children and the elderly. Bucerias Bilingual Community Centre is dedicated to helping support the local community in the development of both Spanish and English language skills. Through the lens of language, the Bucerias Bilingual Community Centre is supporting the cultural diversity of Bucerias, and helping it to prosper both locally and beyond its borders. Manos de Amor por Bahia, a.c. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help the less fortunate, especially the children of Bahia de Banderas. They are currently working to build an orphanage/shelter in Bucerias. It will be the first in this area. Bucerias Childrens Christmas Program
Over 1000 gifts are given out each year to children who in many cases may wake up Christmas morning with no gifts.
There are many volunteers that make this possible but Arlene Tackett and her husband spearhead this program which requires fundraisers to purchase the gifts and volunteers to help organize the events and wrapping and handing out of gifts.
